If every
one goes to Paris, they couldn’t possibly visit Paris without seeing the Eiffel
Tower. The tower rises 300 meters tall (984 ft),when it was completed at the
end of the 19th century it was twice as high as the Washington Monument, at the
time the tallest structure in the world.. wow
it is amazing... in the same time, this tower was the symbolic for Paris
and Franc.
The Eiffel Tower was built for the World
Exhibition in 1889, held in celebration of the French Revolution in 1789. Today,
there is no such aversion anymore among the Parisians, and one could not
imagine Paris without the Eiffel Tower, in fact it has become the symbol of the
City of Light.,
The
tower has three levels for visitors. Tickets can be purchased to ascend, by
stairs or lift (elevator), to the first and second levels. The walk from ground
level to the first level is over 300 steps, as is the walk from the first to
the second level. The third and highest level is accessible only by lift -
stairs exist but they are not usually open for public use. Both the first and
second levels feature restaurants.
